Biography
Quang Van Tran is a Ph.D. student in Civil Engineering with a focus on Building Performance at the Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). He is a researcher in the Climate Sensitive Design Lab (CSDL) and serves as a Graduate Research Assistant in the School of Architecture and Planning (SA+P).
Research Interests
Quang is currently developing an integrated CFD-DRL framework to optimize urban cooling strategies and mitigate the urban heat island (UHI) effect. His research interests focus on data-driven modeling techniques that integrate numerical simulation with machine learning models for urban environments.
