Biography
Dr. Farzad Hashemi is an Assistant Professor of Architecture at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and the founding director of the Climate-Sensitive Design Lab (CSDL). He holds a Ph.D. in Architecture and two master’s degrees, and he is affiliated with both the School of Architecture + Planning and the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UTSA.
Research Interests
Dr. Hashemi’s research integrates urban climate modeling, GIS-based analysis, and building performance simulation. He works at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and data science to develop predictive models that inform equitable and climate-resilient urban design strategies.
